THIS POST IS CLICK-BAIT (NOT CLICK-BAIT!) (I don't know why people are doing a lot of click-bait related titles so I decided to join the trend)

Hello everyone who stalks my blog! (especially the 173 Russians who, for some reason reads my blog. By the way, shout out to all the Russians reading this post. [I know you're all RUSSIAN around to see this] Did you get my pun?) Anyways lets get in to the thing you came to see.

Image result for decision memesToday I am writing about some thing related to school. Hmm. Let's see. I can probably choose from the NIWA science fair, the minecraft parliament trip(s), tech, art exhibition or Nairnville athletics. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. What should I choose? I know! Leave your idea in the comments! Wait! How are you reading this post about if I'm asking to comment your ideas in the comments? I guess I'll have to choose 🙁🙁🙁. How do I choose? Hey! I know! Eeny meeny miny moe, catch a tiger by the toe. If he hollers, let him go. Eeny meeny miny moe. (before you ask, I searched the lyrics up) Oh no. I ended up with Nairnville. Never mind, I'm just going to choose because it is too hard. I choose... all of them! Just kidding I'll choose the NIWA and Parliament trip. (I just wasted 98 words of your life) Let's finally get into the post after 209 words.

So let's first talk about the NIWA science fair. I learnt that in big science fair events you have to wait about 2 hours until you are judged by the main judges. I mostly killed the time by playing around with my Rubik's cube and talking to friends and these St Bernard people who were across me. Towards the end my mum came around and handed me my brother's phone to play with so I don't get super BOARD! (Another pun) Here and there some "special judges" or what I like to call them "sponsor judges" come around and look at your board and occasionally they ask you questions. The thing I enjoyed I about it was... Actually, come to think of it. It was mainly boring and not that much fun was happening.

Now onto the Minecraft Parliament project. Posts about this is HERE and on 2 or 3 different posts NOT HERE. At the time of me writing this post, we have just finished our project and have shown it to the other schools and medias that were at the final tour. The things I learnt whilst building Parliament was; working together as a team, have good communication, sticking to the plan and that we were the only school to actually build things. The reason why I think that is because the other schools practically built nothing compared to us. We built more in the Parliament house than the school that were actually focusing on just building it by itself while we're building the Beehive as well. The thing I enjoyed the most was the function we had at the end. There were lots of news people interviewing us. (including One News, NewsHub, and Prime News) But the sad thing is that we were all excited to be on TV and on the news but it turned out that we were only in a small bit of Prime News where you can only see Tyler controlling and moving around. (not even NewsHub or One News talked about it even though they interview us. Unless they are going to show it tomorrow or a later date.) Image result for minecraft

So that's about it this week for my post and I'll see you Russians next time. (Another shout out to the Russians!)

(Just saying, you just read 588 words! Congratulations! (for wasting your time!))

Parliament Trip!!

Hello people of the world and welcome back to my blog!! Today I shall talk about the Parliament trip I had last Wednesday with my class. If you don't know, or if you're from a different country, Parliament is basically the white house of New Zealand where laws are decided and MPs (Members of Parliament) debate in the debating chamber on other things like how tax money should be spent.

The bits we visited was more or less the same things we visited during my minecraft Parliament tour with me and a few other classmates. The same bits we visited was the banquet place, the debating chamber, and the parliament library which used to be the old parliament house until it was burnt by a fire. We also visited other small places that no one cares a lot about. The bits we went to in the minecraft trip but didn't go in our class trip was; that hallway with all the pictures of the past prime ministers as well as being more in depth in all the details of pictures and other hallways. The parts on the class trip (but didn't go in the minecraft trip) was; the old place for the legislative council, the media place where journalists sit (next to the education room) and one of the offices of the beehive (technically it wasn't part of the tour instead it was a friend's mum's boss's office but it still counts).

The most interesting bit I found out during the tour was that anyone can get kicked out of the debating chamber at anytime of sitting, even the Prime Minister can get kicked out.

I didn't really learn much from the class tour (mostly because it was practically the same as the minecraft trip) so I'm just going to go on from my minecraft trip (which was before we started our topic so most of these things we would've learnt before but that doesn't matter). One of the things I learnt was how the elections work and what parties have to do to win. The second thing I learnt was about the layout of the debating chamber such as where MPs sit and where journalists, tourists and other people sit upstairs. The third thing I learnt was that to get to the fifth floor (The level where the office we visited is) you needed to climb 106 individual steps (before you ask, YES, I counted them which I found quite fun) which was a bit of a workout but it was fun.

So that's about it for this week and I'll see you guys in the next post!!

The end of BOOK GROUPS!

Hello people of the world and welcome back to my blog!! This post I am going to do an overview about the book groups I have finished in book groups which we have been doing for the past 6 weeks and that we just finished last week. (Link for my other post about book groups click HERE!)

If you can't remember, I was in group 2 (the one in room 11) and was reading "The Silver Sword" by Ian Serraillier. To me, I think we reached all of our goals for our group especially on thinking deeply in our group about what's going to happen next and how random coincidences happen a lot in the book. Most of our predictions were right but because of spoiler reasons I'm not going to tell you what they are.

Image result for Book group cartoon gifsOne of the things I liked about book groups was "crackers". Unlocking crackers allows you to bring snacks to your next meeting which is pretty cool if you ask me. Another thing I liked about book groups is that it helps you be bothered to read. If you know me well, you know that I am not a book-worm and I am a slow reader adding the fact that most of the time I can not be bothered to read so overall I take REALLY long to finish a book. But because of book groups you are forced to read to your agreed part otherwise you will let your group down because you don't earn crackers or you will lose them and you will be known as "the guy who never reads in book groups" (I'm pretty sure that's a thing).

Image result for spongebob book gifSomething I don't like about book groups is that sometimes not everyone is on the same page (I got that pun from Sam). Most of the time you agree with your group on something about the book but sometimes there is an argument but I guess that's part of the discussions.

As a year 7, I would like to do this next year because I am now experienced and know what to do next time as well as the fact that you get to add a sticker on the sticker chart after you finish reading the book.

So that's about it for this week and I'll see you in another post next week!!!

(P.S I changed the background. I hope you like it!)
